barbara hamilton.

trombone emeritus.

Poised and unflappable, Hamilton perfectly illustrates that age-old cliché of the triathalon-running, trombone-playing surgeon(!). Her tenure with the orchestra lasted through med school (have you gone to med school? how'd your trombone chops sound when you were there?)... We're hoping to be there when she finds something she isn't good at, but we're not holding our breath. Blessed with impeccable timing and a sound that God intended for a trombone, she's since moved on - you know, to surgery - but clearly, we just can't let go.
